Disclaimer: Please do not use this as the sole source of information to vote, we encourage you to use this information as a starting point to read further. In addition, not all of the information above about parties' positions is actually substantiated. For example one party might have a proper plan in place behind the policy they’ve described whereas other parties may have only had a single sentence on their website on the policy we have used. We have tried as far as possible to only include policies that were substantiated by a plan rather than just claims with no substance like, ‘We will reduce poverty’. We have provided the links to each party's website so readers can investigate further to see how and if the parties substantiate these claims. We have tried to give parties the same amount of words for each policy, though where parties had more detailed policies we have reflected this. We made sure we only portrayed policies that parties are suggesting rather than give airtime to policies that parties don’t like. When deciding what policies to include we used the policies that were at the top of the parties lists. For many of Labour's policies, given they are in government and have been able to enact most of their policies we have put down several of the policies as ‘have done’ rather than ‘will do’.
